The Ministerio de Fomento, through the Dirección General de Arquitectura, Vivienda y Suelo, in collaboration with the Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España (CSCAE) and the Fundación Caja de Arquitectos and the Unión de Agrupaciones de Arquitectos Urbanistas (UAAU), convened the XII Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo which includes all the projects in the biennium 2011-2012, leaded by Fuensana Nieto and Enrique Sobejano.
From the 583 received projects, 164 have been selected during the first period and finally 15 of it have been awarded and other 27 have been finalist. The buildings have been awarded for several reasons, and the jury decision have been showed on the following list:
