The Official College of Architects of Madrid has awarded the First Prize COAM 2018 'ex aequo' to the rehabilitation of the Sala Equis, by the architects Lorenzo and Luis Gil (Plantea Estudio), to the Espacio SOLO by Juan Herreros and Jens Richter and book on Oiza book by Javier Vellés.
Sala Equis: the jury has highlighted that in the rehabilitation of the old cinema Duque de Alba "the available space of current uses, materials and furniture, in balance with the memory of the existing thing is endowed" and has emphasized that "it includes the traditional version of cinema next to other activities around this main function".
Espacio SOLO: the jury has also highlighted "three singular moments in the project" of Espacio SOLO as "the main access from the Puerta de Alcalá, the double height of the point furthest from the access and the logistics area" and highlights that " it is an intimate and collective place at the same time, a stage for the pleasure of relaxed time, a multi-format meeting point to connect people in all possible conversations ".
About the book Oiza by Javier Vellés, the jury highlights the introduction of the second part written by Juan Ignacio Mera, in which the pages are defined as "a cry of freedom. They are a manifesto that puts ideas before aesthetic orders".
Espacio SOLO: the jury has also highlighted "three singular moments in the project" of Espacio SOLO as "the main access from the Puerta de Alcalá, the double height of the point furthest from the access and the logistics area" and highlights that " it is an intimate and collective place at the same time, a stage for the pleasure of relaxed time, a multi-format meeting point to connect people in all possible conversations ".

- Reform of the base plant in Banco de España by Angela García de Paredes and Ignacio García Pedrosa.
- Exhibition design, Arniches and Domínguez. Architecture and life, for the ICO Museum of María. Carrascal Pérez, Candelaria López Romero and Alejandro Muchada Suárez.
- 099. + MAD + by Uriel Fogué Herreros, Eva Gil Lopesino and Carlos Palacios Rodríguez.
- New corporate headquarters of Banco Popular of Gerardo Ayala Hernández, Mateo Ayala Calvo and Marcos Ayala Calvo.
- Building 4BIS Railway of Israel Alba Ramis.
- Pontejos 9 by Victoria Acebo García and Ángel Alonso Ortiz.
- Reform of the base plant in Banco de España by Angela García de Paredes and Ignacio García Pedrosa.

Finally, the Luis M. Mansilla 2018 Award went to Ignacio Mendaro Corsini's Historical Archive of the State of Oaxaca, of which the jury considered that "it is a wise architecture with the climatology that merges with the vegetation allowing transparencies" and the COAM +10 2018 Award rewards the restoration of Nave 17C-Intermediae Matadero Madrid by Arturo Franco Díaz and Fabrice Van Teslaar by defining it "as a prototype and model followed by numerous interventions since then and, after more than ten years, radically current".
