Open House Madrid presents “Edificios de Madrid”, the first 10-part docuflash microseries that highlights local tourism and arouses curiosity to discover Madrid's architecture.

An agile and entertaining series that shows the most inaccessible and emblematic buildings in Madrid, and with which anyone can make a sketch of the variety of architectural styles in the city.
The chapters, of 3 minutes each, can be seen on the Open House Madrid channel on YouTube; a new one will be released every week. In them, ten renowned architects explain and offer unpublished details of iconic buildings such as the Zarzuela Racecourse, the Hotel Puerta de América or the Palacio de Liria, and rediscover authentic strangers located in the heart of Madrid such as the Frontón Beti Jai or the Francisco Giner de los Ríos Foundation.

In some cases, it is the project architects who present the details of the spaces selected in the mircroserie. This is the case of Jerónimo Junquera, from the Junquera Arquitectos studio, who runs through one of the most important renovations of the 20th century heritage, the HZarzuela Racecourse; and Cristina Díaz Moreno and Efrén García Grinda, from the study amid.cero9, architects of the Francisco Giner de los Ríos Foundation.

The program of the 7th edition of Open House Madrid includes the possibility of visiting most of these spaces, usually closed to the public, among them the Hotel Puerta de América, the Palacio de Liria and the Frontón Beti Jai, which will open their doors for the first time time in the history of the festival.

The 7th edition of Open House Madrid will be held from September 24 to 26. In addition to visits to buildings and architecture studios, outdoor routes will be organized that will allow to know the architecture of the city in the open air, and activities such as exhibitions, the City Awards or the annual congress, which brings together prominent professionals to debate around the future of cities.
