The cycle of "La ciudad en viñetas" presents the work of Victor Puchalski (Catarroja, Valencia, 1986) in Centrocentro. Comic book artist and illustrator, his work, of experimental nature, can be geometric, somber, transcendent, pop and pimp at the same time. His adventures in the comic world begin in the commercial field and of the self-publishing, collaborating with the American anthology Memory and the development of Kann, his reference character, that in 2016 would enter in the book format with Enter the Kann, published by Autsaider Comics. With this work, he was nominated for the Revelation Author prize at the Barcelona Comic Book Fair in 2017. Last year his last work, The Ballad of Jolene Blackcountry, came to bookstores.
The current season of "La ciudad en viñetas" is curated by the also author Ana Galvañ, who currently coordinates the Tik Tok comics project with the purpose of giving support and a seek for emerging national and Spanish-speaking authors. Their stories have appeared in editorials such as Fantagraphics, Nobrow, Ultrarradio, Vertigo DC, Off Life, Autsáider, Apa-Apa and Fosfatina.
This project began in 2012, by Mauro Entrialgo, Miguel Ángel Martín, Santiago Valenzuela, Sisters Pacheco, Fist, Juan Díaz-Faes, Nicolai Troshinsky, Ana Galváñ, Mireia Pérez, José Ja Ja Ja, María Herreros, Davín, Cristóbal Fortúnez , Cristina Daura, José Domingo, Javier Arce, María Herreros, Jack Cachete, Paco Alcázar, María Ramos, Carla Berrocal, Roberto Massó, Conxita Herrero and Miriampersand. Their stories are also on display on the 4th floor and can be purchased as art prints in a numbered reproduction in the center's shop.
