Telefónica Foundation continues with this exhibition, curated by Asier Mensuro, the footsteps of other major cultural centers (Louvre Museum, Orsay Museum, Thyssen-Bornemisza) that have opted for the use of the comic as a tool of cultural transmission. The exhibition has been divided into three categories: works coming from external foundations, works specifically designed for the exhibition and comics related with art.
Therefore, besides hosting samples of these exhibition spaces, visitors can also enjoy new works created specifically for the exhibition, with displays of Javier Olivares, Santiago García, Mamen Moreu and Juan Berrio, among others. This new point of view regarding the great masters of painting seeks to exploit the narrative capacity of comics and to propose a reflection on the attendees about already well known examples of the recent art history.
