The successful proposal, designed to connect the entire architectural community of the world, called Virtual World Tour, and which began with its first season at the critical point of the global pandemic, between late 2020 and early 2021, begins its second season that has 5 events and that will take place between October 13 and December 8, 2021.

These events will take place in countries as representative as Hong Kong, Brazil, Japan, the United States, Turkey and Canada. The highlight of this season is undoubtedly the Japan edition, in which Architects, not Architecture will feature the Pritzker Prize laureate and world-renowned architect Toyo Ito as speaker, on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. (JST) / 11:00 (CET).
From METALOCUS we are delighted to invite you to participate in the second season of the Virtual World Tour, since it is an unbeatable opportunity to get to know more personally one of the most recognized architects in the world, such as Toyo Ito.

Guests will present their stories for 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute conversation with the founder and presenter of Architects, not Architecture, Fermín Tribaldos. A round table between the two speakers and the presenter, as well as questions from the public, close the events.

All talks are accessible for free with a link to the streaming that will be sent to the email, of the person who requests it, after registering on the website of Architects, not Architecture. Even if someone misses the event live, a video on demand will be made available to registrants.

Registration is open on the website of Architects, not Architecture. Spectators can sign up for a single event or multiple events at the same time and can sign up their colleagues, friends and family simultaneously.

Toyo Ito was born in 1941. After graduating from the University of Tokyo in 1965, he worked in the office of Kiyonori Kikutake until 1969. In 1971, he founded his own office Urban Robot (URBOT), which was renamed Toyo Ito & Associates, Architects. Along with architecture projects all around the world, including Japan, Europe, Asia, and the U.S.A., Ito is engaged in a wide range of activities.

His recent works include the Tama Art University Library (Hachioji Campus), the Za-Koenji Public Theatre, and Torres Porta Fira in Spain. Among the many awards he has received are the AIJ Prize for Design, the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Biennale, the '06 Royal Institute of British Architecture Gold Medal, the Asahi Award, and the Prince Takamatsu World Culture Award.
