The exhibition Superheroes with Ñ. Spanish artists who succeed in the USA, at the ABC Museum collects a number of silent, discreet and unknown illustrators who, from our country, have managed to thrill the entire planet with their cartoons and have turned the local creation into a global standard.
Rafael López Espí, José Luis García López, Carlos Pacheco, Salvador Larroca, Pasqual Ferry, Ángel Unzueta,David López, Miguel Ángel Sepúlveda, Roberto de la Torre, Rafa Sandoval, Salva Espín, Pepe Larraz, Emma Ríos, Jorge Jiménez, Víctor Ibáñez, Ramón Rosanas and Natacha Bustos are some of the authors of the cartoon superheros of many albums we've enjoyed for decades and that can be seen in the ABC Museum from March 10th to June 12th, 2016.
The exhibition follows a chronological narrative in order to lead the visitor through the history of American comic books produced by spanish illustrators. The journalist Julian M. Clemente, curator of the exhibition, says:
To Collect this amount of original was more laborious than complicated, because we are gathering works from about fifty authors. There are some works that are particularly interesting for its historical value, such as the work in Comics Forum of the first wave generation, and we also have drawings never seen before, such as a test by Paco Roca to work on the Fantastic Four.
