Made with citizens from Berlin, Derby (UK) and Madrid, in all of her participatory-based projects, Senatore aims to bring together different communities, participants and associations, in order to foster the construction of an archive of shared narratives that create a sense of community.
In activating processes, the artist (the instigator) intermingles and cuts across politics, gender relations, class divides with semi-forgotten stories, appearances of documents and fictional narratives in order to create, slowly, a sort of communal archive of ‘intensities’.
In Perfect Lives, the first chapter of the trilogy, Senatore gathered nearly 300 volunteers in Berlin. Currently the artist is in Derby (UK) developing the second phase of the project, the third and final phase will culminate in June at Matadero Madrid. Roses will also become an installation exhibition from 8 June to 26 July in Abierto x Obras, the exhibition program and site-specific creation since 2007 takes place in the "Antigua Cámara Frigorífica del Matadero".
Venue.- Abierto x Obras. Matadero Madrid. Plaza de Legazpi, 8. Madrid. Spain.
Date.- 8 de junio a 26 de julio de 2012.
