Brooklyn Street Art is some sort of journal of this borough, a collection of photographs in date order that aim to capture the creative spirit of Brooklyn. Jaime Rojo and Steven P. Harrington, founders of the platform, portray and catalogue meticulously the everyday of the city, although they also accept external collaborations.

We can say it is a way of telling stories through urban art. These participative stories interweave to create a peculiar point of view on art and the city.

Straight outta Brooklyn, BSA tracks the new creative spirit that runs in the streets, the artist studios, and galleries of New York and around the world. New hybrids, new techniques, and new mediums are expanding the definition of public art, street art, graffiti, and urban art; each vying for the attention of passers-by. As trends develop in the street, we watch to see how they affect popular culture and the rest of the art world.

Jaime Rojo is the Editor of Photography at BrooklynStreetArt.com. His work is published weekly on many websites around the street art community, and many of his photographs have been exhibited in galleries in the Chelsea, Williamsburg and DUMBO neighborhoods of New York and auctioned at Phillips De Pury. He has another career, interior design, the result of which has also been published in magazines such as Architectural Digest, Metropolitan Home, House and Garden, House Beautiful, and The New York Times Home Section.

Steven P. Harrington, the Editor in Chief, was trained in Fine Arts and his works of art, animation and video installation have been shown in galleries and in the streets of New York. His love for the creative process made him take an interest in such different fields as art, advertising, architecture, beauty, fashion, real estate, finance, electronic and print media. He deals with all of it from his role of senior creative director for print and interactive projects in New York City.

Both founders are recognized experts on the evolving Street Art scene of the past two decades.
