Description of project by Agencia Espacial
General Cabrera is an agro-industrial city located in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. Its urban residential side of traditional construction with bricks consists of low-rising houses and continuous fronts to the street. The other, its agro-industrial side, is based on quick to assemble, light, flexible and adaptable rationalized production systems, where the predominant material is steel.
The project positions over the intersection of these two situations. It proposes to transfer technology and local know-how from the industrial typologies to the domestic and residential ones.
Segment - Linkage - Repetition
Oficina AGB is a production essay: a system. Its metallic pieces, all of six meters in length, allow for a total use of the material. The vertical enclosure modules, made of glass or injected steel thermal panels, are repeated depending on the requirements.
The interior program is raised to give place to parking and service areas: a recova.
The upper floor is arranged by means of an ambulatory that places the private areas at the ends and service areas to the center.
