2017 AIANY Design Awards Winners

Every year, the AIA New York Design Awards recognize the work of its members, locally practicing architects and New York-based projects. At the Center for Architecture, the Jury of the 2017 AIANY Design Awards named Honor and Merit winners spanning the categories of Architecture, Interiors, Urban Design, and Projects. In total, there were 35 winning projects (see above slideshow) including Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Gensler and SCAPE, which collectively took home Best in Show as well as an Architecture Honor Award for the much lauded Roy and Diana Vagelos Education Center at Columbia University.

The projects will be further recognized at the Center for Architecture in the 2017 Design Awards exhibition, on view April 21-June 20, 2017. Additionally, all winners will be celebrated at the Honors and Awards Luncheon on April 21 at Cipriani Wall Street.
