The studio IOTTI + PAVARANI ARCHITETTI in Reggio Emilia was awarded the first prize for their project Domus Technica. The award, promoted by the Italian Association of Architecture and Criticism directed by Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi, received more than seventy entries screened by a single juror: Renzo Piano.
DOMUS TECHNICA PROJECT BY IOTTI + PAVARANI ARCHITECTS. Domus Technica, the new Immmergas Center for Advanced Training for the Immergas Company was completed in 2010 in the city of Brescello (Reggio Emilia) Italy.
Two other teams have received an honorable mention: the Milanese ARCò with Abu Hindi school in Jerusalem, and the Turinese Carlo Ratti and Walter Nicolino for Digital Water Pavilion at Expo Zaragoza 2008. Among the finalists are two Spanish studies, Barozzi Veiga from Barcelona, with Headquarters of the Regulatory Council of Burgos, Ribera del Duero, and Solinas Verd, from Sevilla, and their social housing in Umbrete.
