The metro stations are located to the north-west of Moscow. These are new stations that will be built to extend the Moscow Metro network and scheduled to open in 2018.
Marat Khusnullin, the head of jury, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development and Construction:
"The competition attracted a lot of interest from both the general public and the professional community. The status of Moscow Metro as a unique world-renowned architectural phenomenon has greatly contributed to this interest. We received 121 applications from 16 countries. The winning projects for Terekhovo and Nizhnie Mnevniki stations were chosen for their unique and original design and perfect vision delivery in accordance with the highest standards of contemporary architecture".
The open international two-stage competition for the development of architectural and design solutions of proposed Moscow metro stations "Nizhniye Mnevniki" and "Terekhovo" has started on October 7, 2015.
