The competition, which received about fifty proposals, searched to determine the final design of the Pavilion that will serve as the headquarter of the event and an installation of ephemeral architecture, located in a historic courtyard of La Rioja's capital city.

The winners of this Concéntrico 03 contest have been ORIGAMI 000485, composed by Manuel Bouzas Cavada, Manuel Bouzas Barcala and Clara Álvarez García, in the category of pavilions and EVERY CASK SMELLS OF THE WINE IT CONTAINS by DP Architects, composed by Kyle Fulton + Takanao Todo from Singapore in the category of interventions.

Below we leave you with a short description of the projects as well as the reasons given by the jury to award the prizes:

The winner of Concéntrico 03 - Pavillions competition has been ORIGAMI 000485, composed by Manuel Bouzas Cavada, Manuel Bouzas Barcala and Clara Álvarez García.

A project of great expressiveness and beauty, based on the technology of origami, achieved through a simple system of dry joints that exclusively uses 9 types of panels and 7 slats.

The jury has awarded the first prize for the following reasons:

"The project has been selected due to its iconic nature and unique geometry, which responds to the use of the Pavilion as a festival milestone. Based on a pattern and through the origami technique, a suggestive piece which is open to the environment. Its arrangement provokes new readings of the space and activity in the square. The lighting transforms it, depending on whether it is night or day, modifying the perception of the pavilion and its nearby space. The development of the proposal shows its constructive and structural feasibility."
