These days devoted to architecture will be centered in stimulating the urban perception of La Rioja’s capital city through installations. The aim of the works will be to encourage visitors and residents to reflect on about their relationship with heritage and other usually overlooked areas of interest. Design celebrates architecture, which in turn provides a context without which the facility would be pointless.
The initiative also works as an element of promotion and renewal of the city. An example of this situation is the good reception of the ephemeral architectural installations which were implemented last year in different historic spaces of the old town: squares, patios, etc. Some examples are "Prendiendo en bocas" of Boa Mistura and "Caja mágica" of Octavio Pérez Monfort, among others.
Concéntrico 02 presents as this year’s novelty a new call for two competitions: the design of the pavilion will function as festival’s headquarters and the design of one intervention. The deadline for both processes will be open until March 8, 2016.
