Solvia, real estate operator of Sabadell Bank, through Solvia Innovate Program, launched an ideas competition to design a housing adapted to the current situation.
"Welcome home. Solvia Award for innovation in housing design" aims to reflect upon a model of collective housing with the challenge of developing housing concepts that respond to new social, economics, technological and environmental models.
Solvia under the name of Solvia Innovate, has opened a general framework for reflection about the real estate process in the context of the economic crisis and changes that the society is experimenting, within this framework, the housing has a central role. For that reason, Solvia organizes this competition "Future trends around housing", to detect the new global trends of the society and its involvement in housing typology, therefore to identify latent user needs not covered by the current real estate offer.
The jury is leaded by Miguel Montes, Assistant manager of Sabadell Bank-Vice-president of Solvia, and Miquel Molins, the President of Sabadell Bank Foundation, Ramon Rovira, the Director of Communications and Institutional Relations of Sabadell and the Deputy Director of the entity, Anne Lacaton (Lacaton&Vassal), Josep Bohigas, Juan Herreros, Xavier Monteys y Zaida Muxí.
According Miguel Montes, this award is directed to "Professionals of the architecture sector to develop new housing concepts that respond to the new social, economic, technological and environmental models. We want to stimulate the reflexion in this direction and the announcement of this award is part of this incitement and our agreement is to build a sustainable future."

"Welcome home. Solvia Award for innovation in housing design" is committed to the participation of interdisciplinary teams.
The award is fitted with € 20.000 for the author or authors of the winning design.
