PHE15 dedicates its program to Latin American photography and visual arts and provides an overview of its wealth, excitement and strength with the support of institutions, art centers, artists, experts, curators, collections and legacy.

The 18th edition of the International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts PHotoEspaña will present, from June 3rd to August 30th, 2015, a program of 101 exhibitions of works done by 395 artists of various nationalities and a wide program of activities. Madrid, Alcala de Henares, Alcobendas, Cuenca, Getafe, Huete, Lanzarote and Zaragoza will be hosting the Festival, which this year will address Latin American photography.

Next Monday starts the new edition of the festival with the opening of several exhibitions:

Korda, female portrait at the Museo Cerralbo, curated by Ana Berruguete, an exhibition featuring one of the least known aspects of Korda, the cuban photographer, his portraits of women, and reveals the passion that the author of the legendary portrait of Che Guevara felt for female beauty.

Transatlantic. Latin America is a village south of the United States at  Casa de América, curated by Andres Fresneda, this exhibition reviews the mood of Latin American photography through a list of songs that make the structure of the exhibition.

At the Círculo de Bellas Artes three exhibitions will be opened: Ana Casas Broda. Kinderwunsch, a sample in various formats that addresses motherhood and all its contradictions after seven years of work done by the artist; Lola Alvarez Bravo, dedicated to one of the key Mexican photographers in the artistic rebirth of the country after the revolution; and In the eyes of the other. Historic photograph of Ecuador: the incursion into the Amazon, showing the Western incursion into Ecuadorian Amazon Territories in all its aspects.
