BMI Group launches the «Roof Top Series» with a panel discussion on the roof as the fifth building façade. Diana Torres, Fermín Vázquez, Izaskun Chinchilla, and Pablo Olalquiaga will reflect on its function and future based on some well-known projects in which the pitched roof and the use of tiles have been the most successful technical and aesthetic solutions.

Roofs have undergone a great evolution in recent times and the tile is the traditional architectural solution used to form them. However, today it is still integrated into contemporary architecture and is an icon of Mediterranean architecture, due to its results and ability to adapt to new styles. The speakers will discuss its use through examples of new buildings in which the tile stands out for its design and aesthetics, as well as its adaptability to the passage of time. Elements such as durability, low maintenance, energy efficiency, safety, indoor air quality, and building comfort set roof tiles apart from other materials.
