Adif,  manager company for the railway infrastructures, has announced the selected teams that will continue in the second phase of the contest for the transformation and updating of the Madrid-Chamartín station (recently renamed Chamartín-Clara Campoamor).

The initial selection has been made taking into account a score that follows economic, technical and professional solvency criteria in the following order:
 
- UNStudio and b720, Esteyco, EY;
- Rogers Stirk Harbour, LLP Vidal y Asociados, Audinglntraesa, Fhecor aand Carlos Fernández Casado, withConcha Rodríguez Caro;
- Souto de Moura, Francisco Mangado and José María Ezquiaga, with WSP Spain-APIA, Saitec;
- Grimshaw Architects and Rubio Arquitectura, Técnica y Proyectos, PwC; AECOM;
- Zaha Hadid Architects, Ayesa, e Italferr;
- BIG Bjarke Ingels, Idom and AREP Ville;
- Foster+Partners, Ove Arup, Junquera Arquitectos and Sener;
- Benthem Crouwel Architects, Ghesa, C.Andres & LI.Masia, Inse Rail and Promo;
- Estudio Herreros, GMP, Eptisa, BAC Engineering and Drees & Sommer.

Una selección, que podría parecer sorprendente, a la vista de los equipos que han quedado fuera tras la presentación de propuestas realizada el 8 de julio de 2020, entre las que estaban equipos como: Sanabria & Planas con Gallego Arquitectos; Miralles Tagliabue EMBT; Ingenhoven; Cruz y Ortiz; OMA; y Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) con Rafael de La-Hoz.

La propuesta ganadora tiene previsto ser anunciada tras el verano de 2021. En un calendario en el que posteriormente el equipo ganador desarrollará el proyecto durante 72 meses.
