Today, a few weeks after the international launch of Strelka's educational post-graduate program -put together by OMA/AMO- new members of the academic team are announced. The Strelka Institute's team, directed by Rem Koolhaas, Reinier de Graaf (partner, OMA and director of AMO) and Michael Schindhelm (cultural advisor and writer), will have among its members: Yuri Grigorian, founder of the architectural bureau Project Meganom in Moscow as well as professor at MARKhI; Joseph Grima, former director at Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York City and next director at DOMUS magazine in Italy, after Alessandro Mendini's reinstatement as editor-in-chief; Stefano Boeri, Italian architect and urban planner, current director at Abitare magazine; Farshid Moussavi, architect and co-founder of Foreign Office Architects (FOA) and professor at Harvard University Graduate School of Design; Jiang Jun, editor-in-chief at Urban China Magazine and founder of Underline Office in Guangzhou; and Boris Groys, internationally acclaimed Russian philosopher, essayist, art critic and media theorist.
As you probably know, during the opening days of the Venice Architecture Biennale, on August 26, 2010, Rem Koolhaas presented to the international audience the innovative academic program he conceived for a new school in Moscow: the Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design.
