The pavilion, as its name implies, is a cube made of scaffolding, covered by a skin on which changing geometries are projected. The project is implemented in the park as a "distributor" of pedestrians. With four doors and two staircases going up to the viewpoint, the P-Cube leads the pedestrians and offers a stunning new vision of the environment.

P-Cube is the ephemeral pavilion designed by Marcos Zotes / UNSTABLE that stood for the past month of May in the VDNKh Park in Moscow. With music by Pixelord and curated by the Polytechnic Museum of Moscow, the pavilion aims to be a meeting place and a viewpoint where the user enjoys an architectural and digital experience typical of Zotes' work.

Description of the project by Marcos Zotes

P-Cube is a temporary pavilion consisting of a 9 meters high, 9 meters wide cubic scaffolding structure designed by Spanish-Icelandic artist Marcos Zotes and his studio UNSTABLE. The skin of the pavilion is entirely covered with a semi-transparent layer of fabric, providing a ghostly and ephemeral appearance during the daytime and becoming fully alive with geometric visuals during the nighttime.

Located at the center of VDNKh Park in Moscow, Russia, the pavilion has been designed in a way to provide a gate in each of its 4 sides, creating an entry to the site and a meeting point for passers by. Two sets of staircases provide vertical access to the public viewing platform located inside the cube at 6 meters high. The public viewing platform offers excellent views over the site and lets the audience be immersed in a physical-digital environment of light and shadows.

The digital component of P-Cube features a grid-like organism that slowly transforms the integrity of the cube through a series of constant morphological changes. The accompanying sound was specially composed for the project by Russian electronic musician Pixelord.
