A commercial for the coming-soon rental tower has been rolling before flicks at the Regal Union Square movie theater, a shorter version of the video seen on the building's new website. Now, there’s a video of this fantastic skyscraper, which starts with Gehry sketching the building’s shape. A wavy residential tower clad in undulating stainless steel panels.
The building is billed as the "tallest residential tower in the Americas" and the listed rental range goes up to "$15,000+"(euros 11,600) per month. The building was developed by Forest City Ratner, designed by Frank Gehry, and constructed by Kreisler Borg Florman. It contains a public elementary school, which the Department of Education owns.
Public elementary school
The school is sheathed reddish-tan brick, and covers 100,000 square feet (9,300 m2) of the first five floors of the building.A fourth floor roof deck have 5,000 square feet (460 m2) of outdoor play space.
Luxury rentals
Above the elementary school is a 903-unit luxury residential tower clad in stainless steel. It does not contain any units for purchase. The apartments range from 500 to 1,600 square feet (150 m2), and consist of studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units.

Gehry’s latest creation, Beekman Tower 8 Spruce Street New York, was compared to the reality-defying architecture seen in "Inception movie", and just like that blockbuster, it turns out Gehry's skyscraper also has a big Hollywood budget.
