With this project, Ignacio Carbó gives new value to the Architect as a creator of spaces and dynamic spatial relationships. His work combines poetry linked to the artisan creation and sustainability with the new technologies for parametric fabrication that are transforming contemporary architecture.
His Microarchitectures are fragile objects with great creative power. Althought they are conceived from the language and poetics of architecture, their size and materials emphasize the intimate dialogue with the "inner landscapes" in which they are inserted. Based on the new architectural paradigms which look at natural and biological processes in order to generate extraordinary and responsible spaces, Carbó's Microarchitectures are created manually and digitally and completed by hand, blending the best of both worlds, which often appear distant but interact here in a fruitful dialogue.
These Microarchitectures are careful objects located halfway between architecture and the visual arts. They are thought of from the small scale, as whispers that suggest and encourage new encounters and sensations that take us to other worlds.
