Today, in Barcelona, Bosshard Vaquer Architekten, a multidisciplinary Studio, will give a lecture being part of Lecture Series Foros ESARQ 2015: “A Matter of Things”.

Bosshard Vaquer Architekten was founded in 2001 in Switzerland by Daniel Booshard, with architecture degree from ETH and Meritxel Vaquer i Fernández, with architecture degree from ETSAB.

They work with various protected buildings and monuments in projects that demand meticulous handing, like the award-winning restructuring of the Sihlfeld Cementery and the music hall in St Gallen. The project for the Instituto Svizzero at the Villa Maraini in Rome belongs to the same series of projects that work with and develop from the existing. Their major project for a new housing block on the Europaallee in Zurich with shops, offices and apartments follows this philosophy even if it is newly constructed. In 2013 and 2014, they were visiting professors for the specialisation of Sauvegarde at the EPF-Lausanne.

When.- Monday, April 13, 2015, at 7 p.m.
Venue.-  ESARQ School of Architecture of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. Main Lecture Hall – C/ Immaculada, 22, Barcelona. Spain.
