A void inside the dwellings composed of the stairs and a tree, which connects the floors vertically, is what organizes the rest of the rigid spaces around it. This additional façade creates a play of light and shadow inside the house.

Description of project by TEC Taller EC
The Visores houses are conceptualized from the physical determinants of the land, located in San Juan Alto de Cumbayá, an area characterized by being on a steep slope due to its location in the Andes Mountains.
Two houses are proposed that are directly related to the view of the valley, all the volumes of the upper floor are projected as viewers, achieving a direct relationship between the interior space and the landscape. The ground floor volume works as a base, contains the social spaces of the house and has continuity with the green area.
A void is inserted in the middle of each house that spatially connects the house, this void is made up of the stairs and a tree capable of organizing and configuring the rigid and flexible spaces in its perimeter, as well as connecting and articulating the house in section. The voids inserted in the house and the work on the fifth façade as a main layer of the project turn the house into a play of light and shadow inside.as a main layer of the project turn the house into a play of light and shadow inside.
