The global project of World Urban Campaign's City We Need takes its next step in New York city, where a seminar on the future of the city will take place today. This initiative strives to bring together proposals and thoughts on the future city from all around the world: twenty-nine discussion sessions have been planned in about a dozen countries distributed around the five continents.

Those who are not able to participate in the session can watch it live here.

The meeting is framed within the MAS Summit 2015 event, where discussions on the current problems in city infrastructure and urban planning have been held. Urban Thinkers Campus has been organized as a dynamic session where stakeholders will participate in urban Laboratories: interactive discussions where a general agreement on the best ways to develop a better city will be sought. These thoughts will be collected and assimilated to be included in The New Urban Agenda, a document that will be prepared by World Urban Campaign after completion of these global meetings. Participants will be welcomed by Mary Rowe, Executive Vice President of the Municipal Art Society of New York, and Mary Watson, Executive Dean of The New School of Public Engagement.
