The presentation of the fourth edition of TAC! Urban Architecture Festival 2025 was held at La Casa de la Arquitectura in Madrid, under the impetus of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda (MIVAU) and with the collaboration of the Arquia Foundation, thus announcing the opening of the call for the design of the temporary pavilions that will star in the festival, giving rise to a meeting that unites young architecture, experimentation and innovation.

From the Mediterranean to the Atlantic, the new edition of TAC! will take place from October 16 to November 14 at Casa Mediterráneo-Alicante and from October 30 to November 28 at Plaza Stagno in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, thus exploring the cultural richness that defines the intersection of different territories united by the sea.

TAC! Urban Architecture Festival is an initiative promoted by the General Secretariat of Urban Agenda, Housing and Architecture of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda, in collaboration with the Arquia Foundation, which is aimed at young architects and which, in this fourth edition, claims public space as a territory of encounter and frontier; a threshold where stories, identities and ways of living converge.

«The TAC! festival is an initiative of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda to encourage and support the emerging talent of our young architects. A great annual event that is consolidated in this fourth edition after the enormous success achieved in the three previous ones, which bets on the quality of architecture as a driver of urban and social transformation, where experimentation, innovation and commitment to the environment translate into works that dialogue with the city and its inhabitants."

Iñaqui Carnicero, Secretary General of the Urban Agenda, Housing and Architecture.

Iñaqui Carnicero, Secretary General of the Urban Agenda, Housing and Architecture and promoter of the festival, has been in charge of presenting this new edition of TAC! together with Sol Candela, director of the Arquia Foundation; Mauricio Roque, Councilor for Planning, Urban Development and Housing of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; Ignacio de Julián, Deputy Director of Casa Mediterráneo-Alicante; and Javier Peña, artistic director of the festival.

"In this year 2025, as a novelty, we wanted to offer the opportunity to both cities and institutions to host this new edition and become this year's venue, thus expanding the options and integrating cultural entities, museums and foundations, to bring architecture and culture closer to society."

Iñaqui Carnicero, Secretary General of Urban Agenda, Housing and Architecture.

The presentation of TAC! 2025 has also served to announce the opening of this fourth call for the design of the temporary pavilions that will star in the festival. Aimed at young architects aged up to 45 years, they will be able to submit their proposals in this call open until April 10.

"We are looking for a common place capable of exposing the plurality of ways of doing architecture, linked to learning and experimentation, which highlights the importance of this timeless discipline. To achieve this, it is necessary to be close to talent, to allow young professionals to link the factors that make up any architectural realization of emotionally, promoting a sense of belonging."
Sol Candela, director of the Arquia Foundation.
