"Palheiro" is the name of the fishermen's house reinterpreted by the Portuguese architecture studio
Pedro Henrique Arquiteto. The house is located in Esmoriz, in the Aveiro district, in the north of Portugal, which is beginning to make a name for itself as a tourist center thanks to the surfers who visit its beaches.
Palheiro emerged as a response to the need to inhabit the beach at the beginning of the 19th century and its architecture has marked the landscape of said coast for years. The study aims to promote the preservation of this regional heritage and recover collective memory by establishing a dialogue between past, present, and future.
