RCR Arquitectes, established on Olot (Girona) and composed by Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramón Vilalta, have been awarded with the Gold Medal of the Academy of Architecture of France as recognition of their architectural contribution during its 25 years of practice. Among their last works highlight the Soulages Museum in Rodez, France.
The award is one of many others already received by the Catalan study among them the FAD Awards, Mies van der Rohe Award. Besides they are honorary members of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA 2012), Honorary Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA 2010), Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres de la République Française (2008) and National Prize of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya (2005).
Currently their work can be visited in Barcelona under the title 'Shared creativity', curated by Josep María Montaner, at Palau Robert, as well as at Arts Santa Mònica in a second sample of their work 'RCR Arquitectes: Papers.'
"RCR Arquitectes – Shared creativity", organised by the Government of Catalonia in conjunction with RCR BUNKA Private Foundation and sponsored by SOLVIA, shows these architects' work, which is based on seven fundamental concepts. Curated by Josep Maria Montaner, an architect and professor at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB), the exhibition will be open to the public from 26 March to 13 September 2015 in Room 3 at the Palau Robert in Barcelona.

During the las Biennale, Venice Biennale 2014, they took part of the exhibition Arquitectures Empeltades / Grafting Architecture, which was promoted by Institut Ramon Llull.
