PRADA Fall/Winter 2013 Womenswear Show

The Prada finale was a long luxurious mink coat with ample collar and cuff like the ones the Hollywood divas used to wear in the 1950s, I am not sure if this is because this weekend is the Oscar. Underneath, the model wore a sheer see-through silk dress.

Whatever Miuccia Prada is doing, the rest of the Italian fashion industry would like to know her secret. In a period when Italian fashion brands’ European sales dropped by an average of 5 per cent, Prada’s rose by 33 per cent, turning in a € 407 million profit for the first three quarters of 2012, a rise of 50 per cent year on year. Even with no recession, such results would be staggering.
