Next week, on September 28 and 29, the fifth edition of the Open House Madrid architecture and city festival is celebrated, which this time honors Miguel Fisac with exhibitions and a route through some of his most outstanding works.

On this occasion, with the opening and guided tours of more than 120 buildings and urban spaces. Spaces and buildings that are normally difficult to access, are closed to the public or are under construction.

For those visits that require prior registration, the process will open tomorrow, September 17 at 10:00 a.m. on the Open House website. All activities can be consulted on the web and on the social networks of Open House Madrid. The website has a map of the location of buildings and spaces that can be visited. The calendar of activities of the festival extends until the end of October.
The V Open House Congress will also be held on Friday, September 27 at the Centro Centro Cibeles Music Box Auditorium, with the motto ‘Designing the new City’.

For the first time, the Open House Madrid, City Awards will be held, which aim to publicize the most innovative, social and committed proposals that will mark the future of cities. The prizes will be awarded during the congress and consist of five categories: Best urban design; Better citizen engagement; Best innovative solution; Better use of social networks; and better mobility proposals.

OPEN HOUSE is a festival of architecture and city that takes place one weekend a year in more than 40 cities around the world. For two days, the doors of dozens of public buildings, workspaces, residences, artists and architects studios, etc. are opened. that cannot be visited regularly. It is a free event for the public, which promotes knowledge of the city and recognition of the value of urban space.

OPEN HOUSE was born in London 30 years ago. Currently the festival is also organized in New York, Chicago, Sydney, Melbourne, Rome, Vienna, Oslo, Buenos Aires, Athens, Porto, ... In Madrid it is a project of the non-profit association CULTURE CARE.
