The intervention proposed by SpY establishes an immediate connection between the ovoid and the human body, confronting the public with a constant play of proportions and references that reconfigure their perception of the place and their position in it. With a visually striking form, the ovoid offers the spectator an increasingly overwhelming corporeal experience as they approach it.
The red light that emerges from within the ovoid itself bathes its surroundings in an overwhelming, yet also intimate and evocative atmosphere, while its reflection in the waters beneath the bridge doubles its visual scale, creating a duality between its physical presence and the ephemeral illusion generated by its reflection.

"Ovoid" challenges the relationship between the viewer, the environment and the work, proposing, through perception, a deeply physical and sensory experience.
Suspended under the Wadi Hanifah Bridge in the city of Riyadh, this 35-meter-high illuminated red ovoid not only inhabits the landscape: it activates it, redefines it and transforms it into a space that questions notions of scale and materiality.
This large-scale intervention imposes an immediate relationship with the human body. Moving around the installation, the public is confronted with a constant play of proportions and references that reconfigure both its perception of the place and its position within it.
As the viewer approaches, the ovoid reveals itself as an imposing visual and physical presence, capable of combining an overwhelming corporeal experience with a deeply evocative intimacy.
The light emanating from within envelops the environment, bathing the atmosphere in a vibrant and captivating red.
Reflected in the waters stretching beneath the bridge, the ovoid doubles its visual scale and establishes a relationship of duality between its physical presence and the ephemeral illusion of its reflection.
