KIN is the first short film of the grand scale visual/musical project KIN Fables, captained by director/producer Seb Mckinnon. Released in 2013, it is part of the trilogy which introduced us to this epical universe: Kin, Salvage and Requiem. A subsequent video, Kin Fables: The Stolen Child, released in 2018, continues the project, which plans to culminate into a feature film currently in development.
Under the name of CLANN (family), Seb makes music along with other artists and musicians for the project. The video combines epic and intense landscapes with the ethereal vocals of Charlotte Oleena, as though singing words from an unknown or long forgotten language, and trip hop/downtempo beats.
