IDNA is an interactive comic whose story has been designed on 360º, and depending on the points where the users focus the view the story changes, and creates different situations. A fantastic way to join design, technology and interactivity provoking this interesting comic.

More than half a year ago we introduced you to IDNA when it was only in progress. Now the prototype web has been developed, and according to its success, Apelab has just announced 6 episode series of IDNA.

The first episode was awarded the GDCBest in Play Awards last March.

Their project is a mix of a choose-your-adventure book, a game and a graphic novel. It is the first interactive graphic novel for VR which does not use any controllers but immerses the user in the middle of a science fiction story.

The idea is to give the user the freedom to explore scenes in 360° with 3D sound and depending on the angle of view, and the time of day, the narrative will change. Depending on which character you look at, the story will take a different path.

They have put together a tiny prologue which shows a glimpse of what they want to do for the first episode of this series which will have many branches.

The series is available in iOS and Oculus Rift, Kickstarter (They have 8 days left on Kickstarter, so if you have any interest in our Hybrid narrative project, you can help build the first episode of our Indie interactive graphic novel.), through the one they pretend to submit to the public the development of the story with a participative blog.
