On 22 th, 23 th and 24th Feb, 2013 the cultural organization Zetema presented in Rome “Master pieces in motion” a great piece of theater –ballet thought up by Barbara Marzoli Enrico Maria Lamanna conducted by Enrico Maria Lamanna, Teresa Acone as wardrobe supervisor, choreography by Emma Iannotta and dramatic sculptures by Belle Arti di Brera.
Museo Napoleonico and Museo Ara Pacis Augustea are suggestive stages of these performances that explore a psychological standpoint, sentimental, feminine impersonated characters by the power of history which often show up as State right destroying lives and hopes. A 18th century reading about the passions of the senses, where the daily stories of the protagonists are interwoven with historical or mythological themes, proposing an original sight on those characters who have embodied a huge political and military power, as Augustus or Napoleon, but have also represented vanity of power and uncertainty of existence.
Such a charming site where it takes place is Ara Pacis Augustae, an altar to Peace, the Roman goddess constructed by Augustus' own decision, in the northern part of the Field of Mars, in a zone near to the sacred confines of the city (the pomerium), where fifteen years earlier Octavian had wanted to build his Mausoleum, a dynastic tomb.
A project exploring the criticism of female point of view about the male (political) power, like Augusto and Napoleon.
