Two of our top posts from 2012 year covered an article about NYC and Sandy and the work by Floriane de Lassée. The first everyone remembered was on Sandy's Aftermath and New York without power in the night and the second article was on Floriane de Lassée photographer and her shot space on the roofs of tall buildings. The photographs by Aurelie Curie are also concerned with composition. Her ”Above” series finds lone, women superheroes perched on the edges of skyscrapers, the the naked city at night unfolding beneath her feet.

Aurelie Curie is a photographer passionate about extreme urbex, what has made in a short time her work is recognized.

Born in Novaya Zemlya ("New Earth") An archipelago located in the Russian Arctic and that only leaves when traveling to Europe and the United States. Her favorite scenes are highly urbanized places, industrial areas, gigantic domes, hotels under construction. Her photographs are recognized by night shooting from the heights where usually she is the protagonist of her frames. A loneliness calculated front to night vision of the big city.
