Best known for its interventions in small houses and places impossible to Tokyo and the publication of "Made in Tokyo: Guide Book", we present the project to reform this area of Tokyo, Miyashita Park, which has not been without controversy . According to his political position, before reform this was an area that served as a refuge for the outcasts of society or a run down area, a breeding ground for future problems.
The project, funded by Nike and designed by Atelier Bow-Wow, built-in mega-district of Shibuya, try creating a new space for the local community with all kinds of equipment, areas of skating, climbing walls, play areas, gardening. Efforts have been made to preserve some of the spirit of its previous occupants before reusing materials in new construction. The proposed project is a new space clean, neat, too clean ... Nice project, however, maybe is perhaps more could have integrated the different layers of the place.
