The firm Martin Lejarraga Architecture Office has been the winner of the ideas competition for the construction of a viewpoint in the Gola de Marchamalo in La Manga del Mar Menor, Cartagena, Spain.
In the words of the study by Martin Lejarraga Architecture Office, in Cartagena: "The proposal," The Oasis," will soon be carried out with the aim of revitalizing and "refreshing" La Manga del Mar Menor within the "La Manga Abierta 365" plan."

"The Oasis" is a connection space, both physical and social. A space that, thanks to the lightness of its elements, seems to float on the channel of the Gola and stands as an element of architecture in the landscape. It is a space that gives an urban landscape of a truce under its cover and equipment nonexistent until now. A timeless space thanks to its connection with its surroundings and with the history of the place where it is located.

In short, ''The Oasis "is a comfortable and safe space for and for the citizen. A free and public space. And, in short, a space of social connection willing to refresh La Gola de Marchamalo.

The jury has also awarded the following prizes:

- Second Prize.- Motto THE PLEASURE OF PASEAR. Authors: Alicia Cantabella Gallego, Elena Climent Valiente and Silvia Pujalte Toledo.
- Third Prize.- Lemma MIRA MARCHAMALO. Author: Bernando Cerrato Hernández
