Ten projects out of 121 proposals have been shortlisted to for the second stage in the competition for the new design of Terekhovo and Nizhniye Mnevniki Moscow’s metro stations. Winners will be announced in February 2016 and both stations are scheduled to open in 2018.

The Russian company Strelka KB, responsible for the organization of the International Competition for the new design of the Terekhovo and Nizhniye Mnevniki Moscow’s metro stations, announced yesterday the results of the first stage.

The shortlisted entries for "Nizhniye Mnevniki" station.-

- Timur Bashkaev Architectural bureau (Russia).
- Snezhkin Georgiy (Russia).
Architectural bureau “Praktika” (Russia).
Buromoscow (Russia).
- Alexander Neznanov (Russia).
- Traian Bompa (France).

The shortlisted entries for for "Terekhovo" station.-

Alexandr Mergold (USA).
Gerber Architekten (Germany).
- Evgeniy Volkov (Russia).
Variant Studio (Latvia).

During the next stage of the competition participants are asked to improve their projects and present them to the Jury. The aim of the competition is to choose the best architectural concept and design for interiors of the stations. Competitors are expected to submit their unique ambitious and cutting-edge design solutions that would create an iconic and memorable image for each station.
