The first floor is organized by placing the living room in the two interior modules with access to the terrace, the two central modules contain the stairs, the dining room and the bathroom, and the two modules on the façade that face the street house the kitchen and the main room.
On the second floor, the first two modules that face the interior patio are released and create a double-height space above the lower living room, allowing light and sun to enter the interior of the house. The central modules are organized with a study area and toilet, placing two bedrooms for the daughters on the exterior façade.

GA house is the new home for a couple with two daughters who wanted to enjoy more indoor and outdoor space.
The plot, located between party walls, has a private garden inside the block patio that faces blocks of flats.
The main strategy was to place the garage on the ground floor, occupying almost the entire depth of the plot, to place the living space on top with a large terrace.
The house was conceived according to a grid of 6 squares that allowed solving the structural and functional requirements at the same time.
The first floor is organized by placing the living room with access to the terrace in the first two modules next to the interior courtyard of the block, the two central modules contain the stairs, the dining room and the bathroom and the two modules located on the façade that leads to the street is the kitchen and the double room.
On the second floor, the first two modules that face the interior patio are released and create a double-height space for the lower living room. A space is generated that allows light and sun to enter the interior of the house. The central modules are organized with a study for the daughters and the bathroom and the two modules facing the street contain the two rooms for the daughters.

The house opens completely to the interior garden. The folding windows can be opened completely or gradually depending on the season of the year, transforming the interior space into a porch. The absence of walls facilitates the entry of light, providing a bright environment with good natural ventilation.
In the interiors, the wood of the structure is left exposed, generating warm environments and an intimate scale that are linked together, without the need for corridors.
The structure consists of 12 heb140 pillars and their corresponding beams that generate 6 squares, each one a different functional space. The prefabricated metallic structure is used to support the 12cm turned beam wooden floors. The structure of the house already determines each space.
We wanted to design and build a house as simple as possible, sustainable, with the minimum material and a low budget. The H-shaped steel pillars free up space and eliminate partitions, creating continuity and diluted boundaries between inside and outside.
