The building sector has always been very close to new techniques and advances in design, production, transportation, and communications. Now that digital manufacturing is becoming more and more common in industrial processes, Beyond Building Barcelona-Construmat has decided to present all kinds of projects, produces, and processes related to new technologies and the building sector, as one of the most attractive aspects of this new edition.

The Innovation area will present the latest in materials and building processes, from house building using 3D printers to construction using robots, as well as a panel of prestigious speakers. Skylar Tibbits, professor and Research Scientist in MIT's Department of Architecture, or British architect Alastair Parvin, co-founder of Wikihouse, among others, will present their projects to the public.
Issues such as digital design, BIM, the Internet of Things and entrepreneurship will also be featured, with meeting spaces for companies and investors.
