In November 2013 was successful first experience painting the first houses in Peña de Bernal Street, of "Colonia Las Américas", Queretaro, Mexico, where neighbors and volunteers filled the first houses color.
Proyecto Las Américas has been a pilot experience for a bigger project, where art will be the excuse and at the same time driving force of a process of positive transformation of a community. This first stage took over more that 30 houses of two blocks from the Colonia de las Américas, at the City of Santiago de Querétaro. This two week project counted with the participation of the neighbors of the community, as well as inhabitants from the city.
Our goal now is to fill the entire colony into a colorfull intervention!
Their next goal is to paint the whole neighborhood in order to beautify the area and strengthen its landscape and identity.
This social and aesthetic improvement project it´s organized by PROART Foundation and features BOA MISTURA urban art collective for the Art Direction.
