Overcoming all the obstacles. Daisies by Katy Perry

Daisies is the first single to be released from the fifth album by artist Katy Perry. Published in May 2020, it served as a prelude to the release of the album Smile, published in the summer of that same year. Both the lyrics and the video send a clear message, to follow the path that each one has marked out without giving importance to what others may think.

In the video, directed by Vallée Duhamel, we are shown a very colorful world with surreal spaces that illustrate how the leading girl overcomes all the obstacles that appear in her way. More than 40 artists from all over the world worked remotely creating and animating this video.

The video shows us those personal obstacles that Katy Perry talks about in the lyrics of Daisies, personalized in the rock that invades the protagonist's house, transforming it into totally surreal and colorful spaces. That rock remains with the protagonist for much of the video, causing all the rooms of her home to become unbalanced, becoming uncertain and even disturbing.

After this journey through those spaces so suggestive as well as unsettling that the protagonist has to overcome by herself, the video ends with the protagonist rising to the sky of a deep night over everything that surrounds her after overcoming all her adversities.
