Under the slogan "Rethink, Reuse, renew" Arquinfad organizes the 6th Arquinset - Architecture Week, to be held in Barcelona between 27 September and 3 October 2012.
Given this fact we will need, increasingly, to consider the "principle of prcaution", wich is already part of the European Union's treaties and international agreements. Acording to him, the adoption of effective measures to prevenr serious and irreversible damage such as climate change or health of people do not have to be delayed by the fact that there is no a total scientific evidence. In this context, to relate, to find the common thread between sustainability, architecture, urban renewal and health proposals, seems entirely appropriate. A relationship that, we believe, is fluid and quite obvious".

Continuing the theme of the last years of Arquinset 2010 and 2011 "rethink, reuse, renew" it would be nice to look at the knowledge and gaps, at the researchs of their own wisdoms about traditional architecture and life habits and costumes linked to the compact city, with an street culture of life, now in the way of change. Of symbiosis and miscenegation, the hybrid between several knowledge, ancient and modern, south and north, east and west, from various disciplines and opinions we can find new ways of building and living that allows us to recover the old wisdom of "good living" wich has always characterized the mediterranean people.
