"The Reina Sofia Museum, in collaboration with Mahou and its program Afterwork by Mahou Premium Light continues with the second edition of this musical series which had great public success in its first phase last June (with performances by Peter Broderick , Cibelle and Bugge Wesseltoft). Mastretta has been responsible for opening Acoustic Space # 2, with a concert on Wednesday spectators crammed coffee Nouvel building.
Lonely Drifter Karen is a musical project born of the union of three musicians of very different origins and evolution. Started by the Austrian composer Tanja Frinta in 2003, the group was completed with the Italian drummer Giorgio Fausto and the Spanish pianist Marc Meliá.
Their music brings together influences from the folk scene of the Nordic countries, references to cabaret sounds, chanson française and British pop, and manages to unify in perfect harmony the delicate and nostalgic voice of Tanja Frinta with the multi-instrumental arrangements that characterise her compositions. Their concert at Museo Reina Sofía will feature their most recent album, released in 2010, called Fall Of Spring.
Acoustic Space is a music series featuring national and international artists that show the various facets of contemporary musical creation. Through this series, Museo Reina Sofía, in collaboration with Mahou and its program Afterwork by Mahou Premium Light, enables audiences to get to know new conceptions of jazz, electronic music derivations and the radical eclecticism that characterises today's music, as well as the points of contact between the classical music tradition and the popular tradition, the boundaries of which are becoming less and less defined."
