Colkitt & Co, a collaborative, young and dynamic, fast paced, retail oriented firm is seeking a full time Architecture candidate with minimum 2yrs of work experience to help project manager in a varied set of tasks.
- Tasks focused on working with project manager mainly on retail projects in all phases of design (PD, SD, DD, CD & CA), communication with different parties involved in project, permitting process, etc. Projects may include other than retail.
- Office maintenance & administration (ordering supplies, setting up meetings, updating checklists,..)
- May be more or less experienced but must have STRONG CAD SKILLS, pro efficient in photoshop, illustrator & sketchup, have good communication skills
- must be highly motivated, avid to learn, have a good, positive attitude. Person must also be able to handle stress, keep up with the fast pace and enjoy challenges.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors and/or Master degree in Architecture (will consider other degrees if resume shows suitability for this position).
- MINIMUM 1 yr of CAD experience (strong skills - do not apply if you do not meet this)
- MUST be highly motivated, independent and self-starter
- Good communication skills including strong English writing skills
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator & sketchup; ability to design/render images with these and CAD in little time
- Some Experience in construction document production and permit process preferable
- Some knowledge on building code research and ability to research and self-teach yourself on things you are less familiar with
- Understanding of the fast-paced environment; ability to respond quickly to architect's demands, understanding urgency and taking action
- Preferred: some knowledge and understanding of the retail environment from an operations, economic & visual (design) standpoint
- able to handle stress, enjoy challenges
- Can legally work in the US
