The former rector of the Universitat de Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya and director of the ESADE Chair in Design Management relieves the designer Nani Marquina as head of the FAD's Board of Directors.
The FAD General Members’ Meeting was held on Monday 15 October to approve the handover of the Governing Board headed by Nani Marquina after four years of leading the FAD. The members were able to vote on whether or not to approve the only candidature entered, headed by Jordi Montaña. The results were 96% of votes in favour and 4% blank ballots.

Jordi Montaña is an ordinary professor at ESADE, professor at the Ramon Llull University, and director of the ESADE Chair in Design Management. He has been rector of the University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia from July 2010 to July 2018.

The Promotion of Arts and Design is a non-profit association of professionals and companies linked to design, well known for its annual awards for Spain and Portugal. Founded in 1903, the FAD aims to promote design, architecture and the arts in the cultural, social and economic life of the country.

The new Governing Board comprises the following members:
President.- Jordi Montaña
General secretary.- Isa Moll
Treasurer.- Pau Vilanova Vila-Abadal
Vice presidents.- Victoria Rabal (president of A-FAD), Daniel Ayuso (president of ADG-FAD), Salvi Plaja (president of ADI-FAD), Pau de Solà-Morales (president of ARQUIN-FAD), Edgar Carrascal (president of the new MODA-FAD).
Members.- Miguel Ángel Aguiló, Laura Garcia Guardans, Inés Martín-Borregón, Isabel Martínez-Cosentino Ramos, José María Milá and Olivia Ricard.
