The topic of eme3_2012, that’ll take place from 27th June up to 1st July and has a participation of around 50 participants coming from 17 countries, is the concept Bottom-Up. The lema is studying and debating about the creation that comes from the grassroots, with initiatives generated through the civil society, fruit of the collaboration between different stakeholders.
The essence of the Bottom-Up is the strategic urban action and cross, through which illustrates a process of creating and building an environment decided jointly.
Technological advances have placed us in a new era of communication, which are no longer just the media who generate information for citizens. Immediacy and infinite spread of information are attributes that are inherently associated with the nature of social networks.
Has the time for the architecture also takes advantage of communication and bottom-up construction of spaces in line with the needs of society?
Friday and Saturday, at 20 am in eme3 Plaza will host the debates Processes / Actions. The context, the time and debate, moderated by Ramon Paramon (Friday 29) and Santiago Ibarra and David Johnson (Saturday 30). Friday is confirmed the participation of Gaspar Maza, James Cirugeda, Axel n'Undo and Tim (Raumlabor). On Saturday intervene Diego Peris (All for the practice), LaCol, LaFundició, Institute of Place Making, Expanded Architecture, Recreant Cruïlles, Laia Torres, Marc Dalmau and Collectif. During the two days will discuss issues that arise around the concept of Bottom-Up applied to architecture, as the possibility that the spirit of self that often inspire the process of space appropriation is consistent with administration policies.
