Stemming from an industrial warehouse and canteen, the extension of the Co.Corking area in Candal Park, completed at the end of 2014, advanced towards the adjacent pavilion following the same design and logic.

The extension designed by CREA in the area Co.Working, already completed at the end of 2014 by the same, Candal Park, is related to the construction of a central cell defined by wooden links that reacts to the surrounding space. This is how CREA transforms not only the places but also the life of the people, seeking to enrich, in this case, the working space Co.Working.

“Hello! No one is available to take your call! Please leave a message after the tone!”

With this sentence, Building Pictures presents "Co.Working at Candal Park by CREA" video that can be seen below.

Description of project by CREA
The project derives from prolonging its sibling’s design and construction processes, Co.Working of Candal Park (Portugal), by establishing a periferic use of the area while reserving its core for social purposes and events. Under wide skylights, where once there was a wall, now wanders a twisting set of colored wooden planks that reacts to the surrounding space, meandering through the two spaces and metamorphosed according to the program that accomodates and the routes it traverses.

Exactly, these wooden links, simultaneously reflect and adapt itself according to the passages and elements set across the open space.
