Architectural elements such as the roof overhang or the exterior screen were designed to respond to the tropical context of the country. And they were created by combining some genuine materials like wood, stone and steel. In addition openings and terraces allow natural lighting throughout the day.

Description of project by Junsekino Architect and Design
A+T House is a one-story house of a couple who want to start their family. The 520-square-meter plot of land is located in the suburb of Bangkok. The client required a tranquil living space as they hid away from the bustling daily routine. The architect intended to create horizontal interaction within the space by fully occupying the land plot with programs and landscape. The layout is designed as a C-shape with the main court in the middle allowing every function of the house to feel a connection to nature.
For the acquired program from the clients, the architects designed each space with various quality of privacy and only consist of the fundamental program to minimize the architectural scale. A high ceiling interior space with a mezzanine and hidden storage were designed as part of the function to efficiently utilize the space in every aspect without depriving a visual connection of the resident.
The combination of some genuine materials including wood, stone, and steel become part of architectural elements such as screens, roof eaves, or a water rain curtain from the roof gutter which of them were designed to respond to the tropical context of Thailand. Moreover, an appropriate amount of natural light is intentionally conducted to the interior space through openings and terraces around the building to illuminate the space throughout the day. The scattering of the landscape around the house established some pocket gardens, especially the rear one which later become the main relaxation area for the family members in the evening. In addition, the design approach of the wooden façade is to provide a unique identity as well as to create some privacy without obstructing natural ventilation and the connection to the outside neighbourhood.
